Stay Wyse, Stay Foolish

Student-Master

“I’m not a master, I’m a student-master, meaning that I have the knowledge of a master and the expertise of a master, but I’m still learning, so I’m a student-master. I don’t believe in the word master, I consider the master as such when they close the casket.” – Bruce Lee

Read a book by Austin Kleon were he says to always consider yourself an amateur no matter where you are in your career path. Amateurs have an advantage over those who consider themselves professionals. In the sense that a amateur is willing to do and try new things, think outside the box, a nothing to lose state of mind. When a professional will not, due to having a certain kind of reputation and can’t afford to steer off their path. Always continue to keep an open mind and learn, there’s always something new to learn about, knowledge is power.
